I never normally write reviews but this dress is something else. I was compeating in the Miss England finals earlier this month and I didn't have the money to go to proper pageant shops (where the dresses start at 500). Despite some good reports I was still very dubious when ordering.Shipping- I didn't pay for express shipping but because there was a delay in making the dress they sent it out express free of charge without me asking. I ended up getting it around a week and a half to 2 weeks after ordering which I really didn't mind as I'd given myself enough time. My only bugbear was it did come with a mystery mark/something on the very bottom of the dress, so I did have to wash the dress first, I think this was just a random occurance though. The dress- wow. Firstly it's SUPER heavy. secondly is SUPER long. The bodice is properly bones and retains its form even when not worn and it is lined with a soft cotton forghe entirely of the dress as to not irritate the skin. It's really is satin as well. Very true to colour. I ordered it in REGENCY and it is the perfect Cadbury purple. (I ended up being the only girl in purple which made me very happy!) With the exception of a small not noticeable sewing error around the top it's on par with the quality of my Rachel Allen dress, which goes for 995.My fellow finalists were genunily shocked when I told them the price.Sizing - I didn't order custom sizing as I was worried it was make it a greater risk of taking too long to come but I wish I had now. It fits perfectly around my waist and sits well but the bodice was so long on me (the waist band was sitting about 2 inches below my waist!) That I had to amend it. My own fault really. The slit is actually not very high either as other reviews have mentioned. I cut it higher but it frayed badly so I would recommend getting it custom ordered as to avoid these issues but I feel they were something that could be avoided by my choices.Overall this dress is the best value for money I've ever had.
